Au Nok-hin
I am Au Nok-hin, a 30-year-old guest lecturer for the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Community College of City University’s Social Sciences Departments. I have been a district councillor for the Southern District (Lei Tung I) since being elected in 2011, and the convenor of Civil Human Rights Front – and now I am a candidate for the 2018 Legislative Council by-election for the Hong Kong Island seat.

Positioning myself as such is not only about accomplishing my personal goals, but it is also about allowing everyone to share the same sense of hope for our future. It is only with resisting against authoritarianism, and with protecting Hong Kong, can we stand with dignity in our era, and with the next generation.
